James K. Lowe (born July 21, 1989) is a New Zealand photographer. He is best known for his professional work in photography and for his past relationship with New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde.

James K. Lowe is a New Zealand photographer. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Elam School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland. Lowe’s work has been exhibited in shows such as Return to the Soil and ILK Presents: Cool Girls (2015).

From 2013 to late 2015, he was in a relationship with singer-songwriter Lorde, who later drew on their breakup as inspiration for her second studio album Melodrama. During their relationship, Lowe maintained a personal blog, OntheReg, where he wrote about music, pop culture, and his experiences in the public eye. Following their split, he has continued to work as a commercial and editorial photographer, while maintaining a relatively low public profile.
