 Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor (born November 7, 1996), known professionally as Lorde, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter acclaimed for her unconventional pop style and introspective songwriting. She rose to fame as a teenager with the hit single “Royals” from Pure Heroine, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks. Her accolades include two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, twenty Aotearoa Music Awards, and a Golden Globe nomination.
