About Lorde

Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor (born November 7, 1996), known professionally as Lorde, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter acclaimed for her unconventional pop style and introspective songwriting. She rose to fame as a teenager with the hit single “Royals” from Pure Heroine, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks.

Her accolades include two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, twenty Aotearoa Music Awards, and a Golden Globe nomination. She was also named to Time’s list of the most influential teenagers and Forbes’ 30 Under 30. Lorde has since released Melodrama, Solar Power, and Virgin, further establishing her as one of the most influential artists of her generation.
